An internship at a local New York City basketball league in 2018, turned into an organization with a bigger vision. A vision to do more than just developmental basketball year round. Manhattan Spartans strives to lead student-athletes to become the best men and women they can be in the future. Providing programs such as; Basketball mentorship, Financial Literacy courses, Devotions, and many more. Currently, there are 50+ student-athletes who participated in the Manhattan Spartans program who are now playing in college sports (USCAA, NJCAA, NCAA, NAIA). Some whom will be future first generation college students. In 2025, Manhattan Spartans had introduced a girls basketball program in addition to their boys high school program. The girls basketball program adds on to the exploding increase of girls basketball participation in the United States. Still, with the same mission to provide more than basketball, but to begin a sisterhood through faith and sports.

Coming soon, Manhattan Spartans alumni program will start in 2026 that will continue mentorship for young men as they begin adulthood after college while still playing basketball internationally.
